As the weather gets warmer and we move our cardio workout off of the machines and into the outdoors, it is important to protect our muscles until they get used to the change in surfaces and seasons. One way to keep from pulling or straining is to wear compression gear. Compression gear is clothing – usually tights, shorts or sleeves – that athletes wear underneath their other clothing. On top of protecting muscles, preventing chaffing and keeping us warm, rumor has it that it also increases athletic performance and reduces muscle soreness after workouts!
