Commuters hopping off the train in Port Chester won’t have to venture very far to grab their next after-work cocktail.
The Village Beer Garden made its debut at the Metro-North Train Station in Port Chester earlier this summer, offering a sprawling outdoor space with lush greenery, a range of pub fare and, of course, a variety of craft beer.
The eatery has a range of brews, from German lagers to Yonkers-made ales, and creative cocktails, including a sweet garden rum or Southern lemonade.
A bar menu features crispy beer-battered onion rings, pretzel nuggets or a choice of sausages, including bratwurst or kielbasa. On a recent visit, we couldn’t keep ourselves away from the juicy mini-burgers, topped with American cheese, house sauce and caramelized onions.
