Spring into fashion

Chuck Steelman, Neiman Marcus’ senior manager of VIP Private Client Experiences, was on hand Feb. 5 to deliver the “Neiman Marcus Trend Report,” a benefit for St. Vincent’s Hospital Westchester, a division of Saint Joseph’s Medical Center, at Neiman Marcus Westchester in White Plains. Steelman discussed four hot spring trends – Black and White; the Reinvented Pantsuit (cropped, fitted pants; roomier jackets); Nature’s Influence (florals; wood, raffia and wicker accessories) and Safari Style (think cheetah, leopard and zebra prints in particular). The smashing offerings by the likes of St. John, Alexander McQueen, Veronica Beard and La Petite Robe were accompanied by pops of color (hot pink and red especially) and metallics in handbags and shoes, along with Chanel, Gucci and Tom Ford sunglasses.

Afterward, attendees shopped the runway offerings and learned more about Tata Harper’s organic skincare line. Neiman Marcus donated a portion of sales to St. Vincent’s.
