Fall weather is upon us, and for many, that means enjoying some of your favorite cool-weather comfort food. Coinciding with the change in season, Mount Kisco restaurant Winston has rolled out its new fall menu, one complete with food and drinks that will fill your pumpkin-loving heart with joy.
“Fall is the ideal season for gathering and enjoying the company of others,” says Jimmy Branigan, general manager for Winston. “Our new menu is a celebration of rich fall flavors, filled with bright colors, warm spices and various textures.”
For the new menu, French Culinary Institute-trained chef Michael Williams is presenting new options like chipotle-encrusted cod and Asian braised pork shank, along with fall-finessed versions of popular offerings like the Hudson Valley magret duck breast and pan-seared diver scallops.
On a recent visit, WAG was wowed by beef negimaki, which featured grilled asparagus and scallions wrapped in thinly sliced beef. Crisp, doughy potato dumplings were given a fall twist with butternut squash and hazelnut.
The restaurant is also offering fall-inspired cocktails, like the pumpkin mojito and herbed pear cocktail. A Kentucky cider is also the perfect way to warm up on a cool night on Winston’s outdoor patio.
