Woodstock turns 53

This month marks 53 years since a half-million people descended upon Bethel, New York, for the 1969 Woodstock festival.

While the grounds look a little different, the energy and enthusiasm remains at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts – the original site of Woodstock – with anniversary weekend set to capture the spirit of the iconic festival. This year, Santana, Earth Wind and Fire, Brandi Carlile and Phil Lesh & The Midnight Ramble Band will take the stage in celebration of Woodstock turning the big 53 (Aug.19 through 21).
