A candle, in full bloom

There’s something about a floral-scented candle that adds a certain romance to any surroundings.

So for that reason, we’re especially intrigued by the new eco-friendly scented candle, Mai Flower, from L’Olivier Floral Atelier.

This celebration of the Muguet, or lily of the valley flower, is designed to further complement L’Olivier’s signature floral arrangements and follow up on the release of the Vert de Vert and Cuir Vegetal candles from floral artist Olivier Giugni in collaboration with perfume duo Christophe Laudamiel and Christoph Hornetz.

We’re loving how this luxe candle has been described in press materials: “The delicate, pure floralcy of the white bells of the Muguet combine with green velvety baby almonds, honey, dawn-like mimosa and violet leaves from Grasse, Provence, Olivier Giugni’s native region. This precious scent is nested upon a bed of lavish notes to create depth, drawing upon sustainable Sri Lankan sandalwood and oak moss, a legendary ingredient in French perfumery known to augment sensuality.”

If you’re equally intrigued, the candle ($67.50) is available at the L’Olivier boutique, 19 E. 76th St., or The Brookfield Place Ephemeral boutique, 230 Vesey St., both in Manhattan; or online.
