Holiday cheer from Canticum Novum

The Canticum Novum Singers, led by conductor/artistic director Harold Rosenbaum, will present “A Canticum Novum Christmas” on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 3 p.m. in South Salem. The Canticum Novum Youth Choir, under the direction of Edie Rosenbaum, and organist James Adams will also take part in the concert, which will feature music by Dutch composer Samuel Scheidt, Renaissance composer William Byrd, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Americans John Harbison and Morton Lauridsen and traditional carols arranged by British composers David Willcocks and John Rutter.

Tickets for this the choir’s first concert of the season – which will be held at South Salem Presbyterian Church, 111 Spring St. – are $20; $10 for students and will be available at the door. For more information, call 914-582-3915.
