For fans of Russel Wright and his iconic industrial designs, a road trip might be in order.

Sure, you can visit Manitoga/The Russel Wright Design Center in Garrison at your convenience. In fact, many admirers of Wright’s work repeatedly visit the historic site right in WAG’s backyard.

But dedicated Wright fans might want to also head upstate for “Russel Wright: The Nature of Design,” which continues through Dec. 16 at the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art at the State University of New York, New Paltz.

The exhibit, presented in partnership with Manitoga/The Russel Wright Design Center, explores Wright’s fascination with the relationship of man and nature. Though the show includes details of Wright’s work from the 1920s through the ’70s, it focuses on his innovative work between 1945 and 1968.

Sounds like a real winner.
