A little art, a little wine…

ArtsWestchester opens its doors for the “Gallery Nite Out” series in White Plains.

ArtsWestchester will kick off its “Gallery Nite Out” series with an event set for Oct. 4 at its downtown White Plains headquarters.

The series, a revamp of its Shop & Sip event, is designed to attract those interested in the arts by offering a creative night out. Participants will meet others who love the arts in a gallery setting, with private viewings of contemporary art exhibitions, food and beverage tastings sponsored by area restaurants, social activities and music. The $15 ticket includes entrance, activities, tastings and two drink tickets for the bar.

Those attending the Oct. 4 event, set from 6 to 8:30 p.m., will tour ArtsWestchester’s newest exhibition, “Brick by Brick: The Erie Canal & The Building Boom.” The evening will include an after-hours curator’s talk and artist talk. Liene Bosquê, one of 15 artists in the show, will discuss the inspiration and process behind her exhibited artworks.

In addition, the ArtsWestchester gallery shop will be open at all of the “Gallery Nite Out” events, so participants can also shop for artist-made works and gifts.

The “Gallery Nite Out” series will continue the first Thursday evening of the month, with the next edition set for Nov. 1.

ArtsWestchester is at 31 Mamaroneck Ave.
