A restaurant returns

Few industries have been hit harder by Covid than the restaurant business. So whenever one reemerges we’re delighted to pass along the heartening news. Goosefeather in Tarrytown, which WAG food critic Jeremy Wayne reviewed here, has reopened with limited reservations as it is still in the process of staffing the space. All guests must show proof of full vaccination prior to dining indoors. (The Goosefeather staff is fully vaccinated.) If you are unable to provide official proof of your vaccination status, outdoor dining is permitted contingent on availability. Patrons are still required to wear masks when not seated at their tables.

The restaurant also has a forthcoming service bar on the front lawn, where guests can relax and choose from an assortment of punches, canned cocktails, New World bottles of wine, canned local beers and more.  A DJ spins tunes on certain nights of the week, and food options are being added as staffing increases.

On the event front, Goosefeather is planning a number of September Wine Crush events, a Halloween party and special menus and programming for the holiday season – Covid permitting, of course.

Fingers and toes crossed, as they say – and forks and knives at the ready.
