All aboard!

The New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx is like a mini vacation, and that is never truer than at holiday time with its enchanting train show, which this year runs from Nov. 17 through Jan. 13. Yankee Stadium, the Chrysler Building, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, indeed all the best of New York, recreated in plant parts, come together in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, as trains slither hither and thither.

This season, a Macy’s replica is a new addition, while cable cars travel over vignettes in the Conservatory’s reflecting pool. Back by popular demand for its second year, The Artist’s Studio, which provides an insider’s look at how the replicas are constructed, now includes trains reimagined in plant materials, as well as replicas of national and international sites and landmarks.
