Back to The Snackery Bakeshop

The Snackery Bakeshop – an old school bakery with a modern twist that specializes in one-of-a-kind retro treats and crave-worthy custom cakes – will reopen in its new location, 64 Purchase St. in Rye, on Sept. 28.

The Snackery Bakeshop is the product of more than a decade of hard work for owner Sara Leand, who left her passion for baking behind to pursue a career as a TV executive and later producer in Los Angeles. After moving back to the East Coast and resurrecting her inner baker, she opened her first brick and mortar, The Snackery Bakeshop, in Larchmont in 2018. It became a quick favorite for all things sweets—especially the throwback desserts, which have become a signature. (Carrot cake Twinkies and Red Velvet Ring Dings, anyone?) Closing amid the pandemic in 2020, Leand decided to reopen in a new location.

“Closing our Larchmont location during the pandemic was bittersweet,” Leand said in a statement. “But the time spent away allowed us to put a lot of time, energy and love into our new location and menu. We are so excited to reopen to our customers, bringing them the favorites that they know and love and some exciting new additions for everyday and special occasions.”
