Come home to style

The Architectural Digest Home Design Show that returns to Manhattan this week is one of the city’s top events for those who treasure their homes and all that goes in (and around) them.

Having attended numerous times over the years, I can say that it’s a great event to spot trends, find local sources and explore options for that perfect backyard furniture, unusual new art for the living room or state-of-the-art appliances for your long-awaited gourmet kitchen.

Last year, we met a number of artists, designers, craftspeople and manufacturers who live and work in WAG country, including New Canaan furniture designer and maker Thomas Throop.

WAG will be attending the media day – and reporting on the show both online and in print – but the 13th annual event is also open to the public March 21-23.

Take advantage and not only explore the booths and see what’s new but also attend lectures, book signings and culinary demonstrations – all under one very stylish roof.

The show is at Pier 94, at 55th Street and 12th Avenue.
