Greenwich Polo thunders back into action

Time once again for Greenwich Polo

At Greenwich Polo Club, founded in 1981 amid the town’s verdant Backcountry by businessman, philanthropist and art collector Peter M. Brant, the cups runneth over, beginning with the East Coast Bronze Cup Sundays, June 5 and 12; the East Coast Silver Cup June 19 and 26 and the East Coast Gold Cup July 10, 17 and 24. The season concludes with the East Coast Open Aug. 28 and Sept. 4 and 11.

Tickets start at $50 for a car pass. The gates open at 1 p.m. Sundays, with high-goal matches at 3 p.m. Bring your own picnics, blankets, low chairs, hats and sunbrellas – although vendors are available. For more, visit greenwichpoloclub.com.
