Despite the boyish name, Johnny is a 5-month-old female Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd mix whose stunning blue eyes are mesmerizing. She’s still a pup who will probably be medium size when fully grown. But already the SPCA can see that she’s quite energetic, so a home with a big yard and an active family with older children would be ideal. And since she likes to roughhouse with her doggy friends, a canine companion would be a nice addition.
Johnny is one smart cookie, a special puppy who just needs a little more training to reach her full potential.
To meet Johnny, visit the SPCA of Westchester at 590 N. State Road in Briarcliff Manor.
Founded in 1883, the SPCA is a no-kill shelter and is not affiliated with the ASPCA. The SPCA is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. To learn more, call 914- 941-2896 or visit spca914.org.
