Kudos…

Wagger Phil Hall wins several awards from Connecticut press associations.

To our own Phil Hall, whose quirky profiles and behind-the-scenes accounts of little-known figures and events in history, have been hailed recently by two Connecticut press associations.

In April, Phil won four awards for WAG from the Connecticut Press Club, including three first place honors for his 2019 articles “The Holy Grail of Birds” (Best Science or Technology Article), “Going to the Mat” (Best Sports Article) and “Stamp Collecting is Not Yet Licked” (Best Hobby and Crafts Article), plus an honorable mention citation for his “Portrait of the Artist as an Unknown Man” (Best Arts & Leisure Article). In May, Phil represented WAG’s debut in the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists Awards and came home with second place honors in the Best Arts & Leisure Article category for “Portrait of the Artist as an Unknown Man” and third place in the Best Sports Feature category for “Going to the Mat.”

Congrats, Phil, and keep ’em coming.
