Want to see a Fairfield County-based baker compete on TV?

You can by tuning in at 9 p.m. Feb. 8 to the Food Network, when Renata Papadopoulos, owner of Lovely Cakes in Stratford, will be featured on “Cake Wars.”

The Norwalk resident is among those competing for a $10,000 prize.

The show has already been taped – and the results are top secret – but if you want to up the excitement, you can watch along with Papadopoulos.

She will be appearing that evening at the Station House Bar & Grille at 232 East Ave. in Norwalk, serving up some of her famous cake.

Papadopoulos began baking custom cakes for friends and family in 2005. With business growing steadily, she reached out to the Stamford-based Women’s Business Development Council in 2013 to help her realize her dream of owning a commercial kitchen. Today, she owns Lovely Cakes. The custom wedding and celebration design studio is a 1,700-square-foot space, fully licensed and equipped and featuring a rentable commercial kitchen.

Those interested in attending the screening of “Cake Wars” should RSVP Lovely Cakes’ Facebook page by Feb. 5.
