Seasonal sparkles are popping up everywhere, quite literally, with the launch of an unprecedented one-stop destination pop-up jewelry gallery located in the heart of Manhattan’s Meatpacking District. The festive shop, complete with a fireplace, lounge seating and mood-setting light dimmers, showcases the affordable ($150) to the luxe stocking stuffers ($20,000) of eight fine jewelry designers who have created wish list-worthy gifts for both women and men in additional to beautiful watches and smart accessories.
But we’re particular excited to see more from Kerri Halpern (who was featured in July WAG). Her ‘mad-ly inspired’ jewelry of creepy crawler cocktail rings, Champagne-inspired bubbles and bangles and black and white diamond-encrusted skull pendants keeps our jaws dropping and our eyes twinkling. Halpern’s extravagant pieces especially shine in such a quaint setting, and the energy behind the pop-up phenomenon complements that of her artful, elegant pieces, which will surely make it to the top of your Christmas list. It’s not too late to make the trip to the Pop Up Jewelry Gallery. And on your way, here’s some food for thought: Did you know that 40 percent of fine jewelry is sold in the last quarter of the year? — Zoë Zellers
