Now streaming — ‘No Alternative’

Yonkers native William Dickerson returned home for an encore screening of his indie film “No Alternative,” now available on YouTube.

After an East Coast premiere at the Yonkers Film Festival (YoFiFest) in November 2018 William Dickerson’s “No Alternative” was screened at the YoFiDMAC (Digital Media Art Center) in his native Yonkers on April 18.

Featured in our December 2018 issue, “No Alternative”is an indie coming-of-age drama, written and directed by Dickerson, that explores addiction, suicide and mental illness and is loosely based on Dickerson’s own childhood. The 97-minute film has an 83% rating on review-aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes.

The movie was shot and produced in Westchester County, featuring locations such as Riverside High School on Warburton Avenue and The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester.
