Rainbows after the rain

Kids around the world are showing their support for health-care heroes

Kids around the world are showing their support for health-care heroes with their chalk drawings and other artworks, including those featuring rainbows, an Anglo-American symbol of health care. Prince Louis — youngest child of William and Catherine, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – celebrated his 2nd birthday April 23 with rainbow-colored finger paints and a handprint, a shout-out to the United Kingdom’s National Health Service.

Closer to home, Westchester and Fairfield counties’ Westmed Medical Group recently held a coloring contest called “Rainbows of Hope,” to allow children of employees to express their gratitude and love. Winning in the ages 9 to 16 category were Ellie and Anna Pagan — daughters of Diane Pagan, a nurse practitioner in Westmed’s Complex Care and Internal Medicine division – for this vibrant artwork.

You can see all the submissions at westmedgroup.com. Congrats, all.
