Rocking the vote

Declare your independence. Register to vote.

Tomorrow is Fourth of July, which will be celebrated with the usual hot dogs, fireworks and John Philip Sousa marches.

But too many of us take our hard-won freedom – as individuals and as a nation – for granted.

Here’s one way we can show our appreciation for that freedom and we can do it today – get out the vote. Vote.gov will help you, your family and your friends find the requirements in your states and register you online. If you’re already registered, Vote.gov has more information for you, including ID requirements and the election process.

Election Day – Nov. 6 – is four months and two days away. But it’s never too early to make our voices heard and express our thoughts and feelings for what this country has given us.

From all of us at WAG magazine, a happy and safe Independence Day.
