Say what you want about the Big Apple, but when the going gets tough, the city knows how to take it on the chin and keep going. In celebration of the resilience, strength and diversity of New York, muralist and mixed-media artist Bianca Romero has teamed with small-batch bourbon whiskey brand Maker’s Mark, which WAG Wine & Dine columnist Doug Paulding wrote about in our May 2014 issue, for a city-wide mural campaign that highlights the vibrant and remarkable energy throughout many neighborhoods in New York City but especially in lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. The “Remarkable” campaign, up until the beginning of 2021, includes a series of 11 murals that gives locals and visitors a glimpse into what makes New York so special.
