With the virus ramping up this fall, Halloween is looking a bit like a thing of the past. But Goosefeather in Tarrytown is determined to raise your spirits – and some spirits as well.

Tarrytown House General Manager Chris Costabile will be judging the contest and awarding prizes for best costume, with the winner receiving a complimentary overnight stay, A portion of the proceeds will go to Paws Crossed Animal Rescue. As for Halloween itself, Goosefeather will be hosting two time slots on Saturday, Oct .31 that will include costume contests with prizes, candy hunts, lawn games and more. Additionally, there will be seasonal food and beverages available for sale, as well as alcoholic beverages for adults. Ticket prices are $30 for adults and $15 for kids. The two time slots are 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with a costume parade and contest at 12:30 p.m., and 1:30 to 4 p.m., with a costume parade and contest at 3 p.m. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to book your spot.
Many have said that the King Mansion that Goosfeather is located in is still home to the spirit of Sybil Harris, a former resident, who is said to roam the halls of the second floor of the mansions, appearing as an apparition in white. Sounds like she’s a sure bet to take a costume contest prize.
