It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got those strings: All next week, Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts in Katonah presents “Strings Attached:  On the Road With the Dover Quartet,” a new documentary by director Bruce Broder that delves into the lives – onstage and off – of the four musicians of the Dover Quartet. Since its Ernst Stiefel String Quartet residency at Caramoor in 2013-14, the quartet has quickly ascended in the classical music world.  Starting with the ensemble’s success at the prestigious Banff International String Quartet Competition in 2013, the documentary follows the personal and professional growing pains of the four young musicians as they realize their dreams of becoming one of the top string quartets in the world.

“Strings Attached” will be available to view on demand through Caramoor’s website from Sunday Jan. 24 through Saturday, Jan. 30 for $15.
