The food of love

When the Super Bowl meets Valentine’s Day.

It’s an embarrassment of riches as jam-packed little February heats up the action this weekend with Super Bowl LVI between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams and Galentine’s Day (celebrating female friendships) both taking place Sunday, Feb. 13.

Hudson Social has you covered. The Dobbs Ferry restaurant is offering a special menu for those watching the big game at home that includes half and full trays of nachos with cheddar, mozzarella, pickled jalapenos, barbecue sauce and sour cream, along with pretzel bites served warm with Bavarian mustard. The game-day special menu also includes Hudson Social wings in 12, 24 or 36 pieces and smoked pulled pork sliders. All orders need to be placed by Thursday, Feb. 10, and picked up between 3 and 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 13.

For those looking for a romantic dinner out Friday, Feb. 11; Saturday, Feb. 12; and Monday, Feb. 14, Hudson Social has put together a special menu, too. Starters include a shrimp cocktail with classic cocktail sauce and lemon and a flatbread pizza served on pita. Lobster ravioli with vodka cream sauce or a grilled filet mignon with mashed potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts and mushroom demi serve as main dishes. Finally, red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and whipped cream stars at dessert. (The menu is also available to go.) For reservations and more, visit Hudsonsocial.com

Meanwhile, Oko Rye will celebrate Valentine’s Day with a special Monday opening on Feb. 14 from 5 to 9:30 p.m. that features a six-course, prix fixe experience ($75 per guest). (Takeout will not be offered.)  For reservations and more,  visit https://okokitchen.com/valentines-day or call 914-481-8660.
