Tiger Lily’s Greenwich makes a splash in New Canaan

Tiger Lily’s Greenwich has created a stylishly playful designer vignette at the Sorelle Gallery in New Canaan.

WAG first met Samantha Knapp a few years ago, when her family’s design studio and custom workshop was making its debut at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show in Manhattan.

We caught up with her soon after on her home turf, at Tiger Lily’s Greenwich, for a profile that ran in our May 2013 issue.

Over the years, we’ve kept in touch, following Tiger Lily’s continued growth and working with Knapp as we highlighted some of Tiger Lily’s projects and events. We reconnected in early March as fellow guests at the Bruce Museum’s “Art of Design” panel discussion at Greenwich Country Club, so were pleased when Knapp would go on to invite us to the opening of Tiger Lily’s latest project – an installation at Sorelle Gallery Fine Art in New Canaan.

The “Anything Goes! A Designer Vignette by Tiger Lily’s Greenwich,” which joins the “Oceanic: Works by Teodora Guererra and Daniel Pollera” exhibition, is all about embracing creativity.

The challenge, Knapp told us, was to create a setting that complemented the artwork, while also conveying the signature style of Tiger Lily’s Greenwich.

Well, mission accomplished, as we saw during the opening reception. The Tiger Lily’s space was filled with daring choices, bold-yet-assured moves that added a real dose of style and personality to the surroundings.

See for yourself this month, as the exhibition continues through May 29. Sorelle Gallery Fine Art is at 84 Main St.
