Time to sign up for Lifting Up Westchester’s gala

On April 22, Lifting Up Westchester (LUW) will honor local individuals and companies at its annual Community of Hope Virtual Gala & Live Auction. This year’s honorees include Sal and Richie D’Errico, Matt Darnall and Kathleen Kiernan, James Shipp and Wells Fargo, all of whom have worked with the nonprofit to provide food, housing and other support for the underserved in our county.

“We couldn’t execute our mission without the steadfast support and engagement of community members like this year’s honorees. Their commitment to helping others restore their independence is inspiring,” said Anahaita N. Kotval, CEO of Lifting Up Westchester. “Because of the pandemic, this past year was exceptionally hard for the adults, children and families we support. We know that even with the upcoming stimulus assistance, most of our clients will continue to need the support we provide to move forward in their lives. We are grateful to our honorees for helping shine a light on what we have been able to accomplish with their support and why lifting up our neighbors benefits everyone in our community.”

At the live auction, attendees can bid on future classes, including a cooking class with Chef David DiBari, chocolate making with Chocolations and a cocktail class with Jagermeister. Space is limited.
