Train tracks meet musical ones

The rhythmic chug of locomotives and the hustle and bustle of commuters give Grand Central Terminal a soundtrack all its own. But to ease passengers back into the daily commute, those who run the storied Beaux Arts terminal thought they needed something else – actual playlists to remind them what makes New York New York.

So Grand Central has launched GCTtracks, a free Spotify channel with introductory playlists curated by Steinway & SonsLincoln Center for the Performing ArtsCarnegie Hall and Joe’s Pub to showcase the diverse richness of the Big Apple’s beat.

“What better way to welcome back visitors and commuters to GrandCentral Terminal and New York City than with the power of music,” said Will Lewis, director of marketing (Jones Lang LaSalle) for the terminus. “Thanks to our collaboration with these cultural icons, GCTtracks highlights the romance, beauty and majesty of both Grand Central Terminal and New York’s vibrant music and performing arts scene.”
