Well-heeled indeed

WAG had the pleasure of spending time with Linda Filley back in January.

We visited the paper artist in her Millbrook home, a lovely retreat that also houses her studio.

It was there that we got a real glimpse into her artistic process, surrounded by an array of tools and materials that she uses to create the most fanciful shoes that will never be worn.

The story on Filley is featured in our current “Exploring Romance,” issue, and we mentioned that she would be showcasing her shoes in an exhibition next month in Connecticut’s Litchfield County.

We just wanted to remind you that this just might be a road trip worth taking, as Filley’s designs are captivating in person.

“Well Heeled” will open March 5 at The Norfolk Library, with a reception set from 4 to 6 p.m. that day. The show will continue throughout the month.

Now to decide which shoes to wear that day…
