Yes, they can

To close out Autism Acceptance Month, Marjorie Madfis – founder of Yes She Can, which teaches young autistic women job and life skills – is hosting a “Me and My Autism” event with autism specialist Amy Gravino and Yes She Can trainees on the Yes She Can Facebook page from 7 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 29.

In our January/February “Reinventing Ourselves” issue, we profiled Marjorie Madfis, the former IBM-er who turned losing her job in midlife into a new mission with Yes She Can, a White Plains nonprofit that trains autistic young women to rehab secondhand American Girl Dolls and accessories, teaching them job and life skills in the process.

To close out Autism Acceptance Month, Madfis, Yes She Can’s founding president, is hosting a “Me and My Autism” event with autism specialist Amy Gravino and Yes She Can trainees on the Yes She Can Facebook page  from 7 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 29.

You can also support Yes She Can by making an appointment to visit its Girl Again shop in White Plains.
