Kudos to our cover guys

WAG is proud of all its subjects, whom we like to think of as members of the extended WAG family. So it was with more than a little pride that we heard of recent honors for and accomplishments by three gents who have graced our covers.

Mariano Aguerre (April 2015 WAG), no stranger to fans of Greenwich Polo Club, was recently inducted into the Museum of Polo’s Hall of Fame in Lake Worth, Florida for a style of play that blends elegance and power, the quintessence of polo.

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning (November 2013) – known for his work with Guiding Eyes for the Blind in Yorktown Heights and Tackle Kids Cancer – received the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award, along with Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, at the sixth annual “NFL Honors” awards show the night before this year’s Super Bowl.

And former New York Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira, profiled on the cover of this month’s WAG, has joined ESPN as a baseball analyst.

Gentlemen, take a bow.
