Recently, we got an S.O.S. from Lifting Up Westchester that a family needed a twin bed. That bed has since been found, but it got us thinking about the organization, which each year helps some 3,500 underserved people in the county with food, housing, access to health care and education and other areas that really affect a person’s quality of life.
