An artwork that’s on the dot

Follow the dots at The Westchester

Marla Beth Enowitz strikes again. The Abstract Expressionist artist from Rye Brook, the force behind Marla Beth Designs, has created a colorful, large-scale mural, “Gumballs,” which uses the 600-square-foot windows of the former Justice store as a canvas.

“The window acts as a glass bowl, holding the gumballs and essentially creating a larger-than-life gumball machine,” Enowitz says. “Many gumballs are settled, but others pop up. Seeing all these colors alongside each other felt, for me, like a metaphor for what happens when we work together. It’s fun, hopeful and meant to inspire good vibes. It also makes a perfect selfie backdrop.”

Indeed, mall visitors are encouraged to snap a selfie in front of “Gumballs” (located on Retail Level 3), follow @marlabeth_designs on Instagram and tag their photo with #MBDGumballs for a chance to win a custom Marla Beth Designs splattered hat, neon pink mug and an original 4-inch by 4-inch mini canvas. The giveaway will run through Dec. 31.
