An empire expands

For our September issue, which was devoted to “Class Acts,” we paid a visit to the headquarters of Abigail Kirsch Catering Relationships in Tarrytown. We had a lovely conversation with Jim Kirsch, president and CEO, at the company’s flagship, Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill Mansion.

During our chat, Kirsch shared that a few moves were on the horizon for the company founded by his parents, an outgrowth of the cooking classes his mother, Abigail, began in the family’s Chappaqua home back in the 1960s.

Well, now we have news to report: Abigail Kirsch has announced a new partnership with The Loading Dock & Studio Space in Stamford (which just happens to have been profiled in WAG’s June 2012 issue). Starting next year, Abigail Kirsch will be the exclusive caterer and operator of the industrial/urban-chic facilities marking the company’s first venue in Connecticut.

Congratulations to all involved, and we can’t wait to hear about the stylish events – from corporate meetings to weddings to bar and bat mitzvahs – this new partnership will bring.
