Bold design in store

Klaffs, the 95-year-old local store known for its decorative lighting, plumbing, hardware, tiles and more, is holding a number of special events in coming weeks at its showrooms in Scarsdale, South Norwalk and Danbury:

  • In celebration of a recent Scarsdale filming with Jonathan and Drew Scott, HGTV stars known as “The Property Brothers,” the stores will stay open late July 27. During the evening billed as “Shop & Stay-in-Budget,” the stores will tune in to the brothers’ “Buying and Selling” program at 9 p.m.
  • A sales event continues through Aug. 6 at all locations, with 25-percent off storewide and up to 50-percent off select items. There will also be chances to win gift cards and more. (Note: Sale does not include kitchens).
  • From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturdays during the sale period, guest chefs will offer small-plate tastings at each location.
