Did you say ‘coffee’?

August is National Coffee Month, and Grand Central Terminal has the perfect way to celebrate for coffee lovers far and wide.

Diehard coffee lovers may already know that August is National Coffee Month. To celebrate, Grand Central Terminal is transforming Vanderbilt Hall into a European-style plaza on Tuesday, Aug. 13 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A dozen Grand Central coffee merchants, including New York City favorites like Starbucks, Joe’s Coffee and Café Grumpy, will be selling regular cups of coffee for just $1.

Full priced treats will be available, while visitors can also purchase a $5 flight of 4-ounce coffee samples to find their brew of preference. All of the flight proceeds will be donated to Action Against Hunger.

Any purchase at the event earns coffee lovers a free, reusable Grand Central travel mug, while supplies last. You can bring the mug to participating coffee shops for discounted coffee throughout National Coffee Day on Sept. 29. To add to the café atmosphere, attendees can enjoy a variety of musical acts from MTA Music, along with coffee demos and a friendly “barista throwdown” latte art competition.
