Distinctive (and artistic) holiday shopping

We’ve been given a glimpse into the offerings at The Holiday Design Shop@KMA – and they are impressive.

The Katonah Museum of Art’s holiday gift selection is filled with the artistic and the unique, from a Lucite cuff created by Manhattan-based artist Patricia von Musulin to gold leaf beer bottle tumblers. In the latter option, Nanda Soderberg recycles beer bottles and integrates gold leaf, hand-manipulating the work by using both traditional hot- and cold-glass processes. The results are truly one-of-a-kind.

The shop, which has a commitment to artists, also features ceramics by Signe Yberg Pottery of Brooklyn and a variety of children’s gifts, including books about art and art-based projects.

Take a look.

The Katonah Museum of Art is at 134 Jay St.
