Hatha on the Hudson

When is yoga more than just a serenely beautiful discipline? When it’s accompanied by the sweeping vistas that await you at Boscobel House & Gardens, the Federalist period site overlooking the Hudson River in Garrison.

Boscobel’s popular “Yoga with A View” returns June 3, with an opportunity for newbies and veterans alike to practice their downward dogs enveloped in the beauty of Mother Nature.  Led by certified instructor Ellen Forman, the class emphasizes the inward journey and the profound healing effects of yoga on mind, body and spirit.

The program takes place Mondays 6-7:15 p.m. through Sept.  9. The walk-in rate is $17, and multi-class discount packages are available. Friends of Boscobel members receive a 10-percent discount. Tickets can be purchased by calling (845) 265-3638 or visiting Boscobel.org.
