It’s the Great Pumpkin (or two), Charlie Brown

The largest pumpkins in North America will be at The New York Botanical Garden on Saturday and Sunday, October 22 and 23, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This year’s North American record breaker, weighing 2,261 pounds, was grown by Dick Wallace from Rhode Island. Other pumpkins include a 2,252.30-pound pumpkin from Lymington, England and a 2,106-pound pumpkin from Markesan, Wis.

Garden Visitors can learn more about the growing process during Q&A sessions with the growers daily (except Mondays) at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. The pumpkins will be displayed through Sunday, Oct. 30.
