There are some kids who can color with the same few crayons all day long. KBShimmer founder, Christy Rose, was never that kid. From a young age, Rose – so aptly named – has had a deep love of color. From needing that big box of crayons to wearing neon skirts and bold red nails, she loves expressing herself in an array of hues. In 2008, Rose began producing color-drenched products and selling them locally. Soon, online sales and the introduction of the nail polish line helped the KBShimmer fan base explode, fueled by customers looking for unique polish and hand-care items not found at mass retailers. KBShimmer now offers creamy lotions, colorful sugar scrubs, mani shots, cuticle care products – and yes, a dizzying array of beautiful nail polishes.
I’m currently obsessing over Papaya Don’t Preach, a peachy sorbet that looks fabulous when you have a tan. The color just pops. Even better, my pedicure stayed flawless for about three weeks. (I did it myself, but my toes looked amazingly professional. Best of all, KBShimmer is 100% cruelty-free and vegan, without a drop of ingredients such as toluene and formaldehyde. My hands and feet have never been happier. – Debbi K. Kickham
