To WAG’s Connecticut-based Phil Hall, who has brought in another wave of awards to the magazine. In this year’s Connecticut Press Club Awards, Phil won first prize in the Religion Category for “A Whale of a Tale” from the April 2020 edition, while his “Portraitist of America Rising” in the October 2020 edition won second place honors in the History Category.
The Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists also gave Phil the first place Religion Category prize for “A Whale of a Tale,” as his “A Horse of Another Color” from April 2020 took second place in the Sports Feature category.
