A shout-out to those with ties to WAG and WAG country

To WAG’s Audrey Ronning Topping, who recently received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who’s Who for her more than 50-year career as a journalist and Sinologist;

To Katrina Lenk, who won a Tony Award for her role in “The Band’s Visit” and whom WAG’s own Gregg Shapiro interviewed for our June issue.

And to Triple Crown winner Justify, who has a local connection through minority owner Chris Mara of the New York Football Giants and the Westchester Mara family. The New York Post had some fun with this. Noting that Gronkowski the horse (owned in part by the New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski) finished second to Justify, the Post said that the Patriots are still losing to the Giants.

Ain’t that the truth.
