Loud and clear

“Louder Than Words,” an independent film about the evolution of Westchester County’s Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, will debut at an AMC Loews movie theater in Port Chester on Friday, Aug. 1 as part of the national roll out of the film.

Starring David Duchovny and Hope Davis, “Louder Than Words” chronicles the lives of John and Brenda Fareri after their 13-year-old daughter, Maria, died of rabies in 1995.

Instead of being torn apart by their tragedy, the Fareris put their lives back together and found a way to honor their daughter – the creation of Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, which has helped thousands of children and their families deal with life-threatening situations.

Show times are 1:15 and 7 p.m. Aug. 1 through 7. For more, visit https://www.amctheatres.com/movie-theatres/amc-loews-port-chester-14. – Georgette Gouveia
