New year, new looks

Farrow & Ball, that noted paint and paper company, has let us know it will be unveiling four new wallpaper patterns Jan. 27.

The company, as you may recall from previous coverage, is a favorite of designers and discerning homeowners around the world. All the products are made by hand in a small factory in Dorset, England.

The new collection is a nod to both nature and timeless style, integrating a touch of the rustic while putting contemporary twists on classic designs.

Here’s a sneak peek at how the company is describing each of the new introductions:

Jasmine: A tropical display of the fragrant, leafy plant found in the warmer climes, this print has been taken from the Farrow & Ball archives and reinvented with new colour combinations that are both classic and contemporary.

“Samphire: The perfect celebration of this delicate, wild plant that thrives on our British coastline. Farrow & Ball has injected new life into an archived design, creating a tantalising pattern which is both small and fascinating.

“Parquet: A contemporary interpretation of the classic herringbone parquet floor. The pattern encompasses the grainy look of this traditional design, whilst bringing a new, almost tribal feel. Available in tone on tone and more dramatic three-colour prints.

“Chromatic Stripe: A classic stripe will always demand attention. Trough printed, this stripe holds its own, with up to four colours featured at one time. Versatile and timeless, you can hang the paper horizontally, vertically, or reverse hang to create a bolder stripe double the width.”

You’re going to want to check them out for yourself.
