Paper shoes hit the road again

Millbrook paper artist Linda Filley will be showcasing her latest shoe designs in Rhinebeck.

WAG profiled Linda Filley and her fanciful paper shoes back in our February issue.

We then followed the Millbrook-based artist to Litchfield County, Connecticut, when the exhibition “Well Heeled: Fabulous Paper Shoes by Linda Filley” debuted at The Norfolk Library.

Now, we’re happy to share Filley will be showcasing her latest designs at Paper Trail in Rhinebeck. Her fanciful faux footwear will be featured from May 13 through June 1. An opening reception will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. May 13.

The boutique – an artful destination in itself – will also be showing life-like paper flowers by Livia Cetti, with signed copies of her latest book, “The Exquisite Book of Paper Flower Transformations,” available.

Shoes, flowers… a boutique full of gift ideas – sounds like a fitting way to spend part of Mother’s Day Weekend.

Paper Trail is at 6423 Montgomery St.
