Keeping the classics current for 65 years, the National Players are coming back to Westchester Community College with Homer’s “The Odyssey.”
Thanks to the fickle gods, it takes Odysseus 20 long years to get back from the Trojan War to his wife Penelope, who is besieged by suitors on their island kingdom of Ithaca. When Odysseus does arrive, it’s payback time.
The performance takes place 8 p.m. Jan. 25 at the college’s Academic Arts Theatre. Tickets are $22; $20 for students and senior citizens and $16 for children under age 13. They can be purchased either in advance by mailing in a check or by cash at the box office 30 minutes before the scheduled performance time.
