Walk and run to support the Breast Cancer Alliance

This year, a 5K has been added to the event, which features a 1-mile walk Sunday in Greenwich to raise funds for and awareness of BCA.

Greenwich Avenue will be in pink Sunday, May 1 as hundreds of Breast Cancer Alliance supporters from toddlers to grandparents walk and/or run to honor and remember those whose lives have been affected by the disease. This year, a 5K run has been added to the 1-mile walk, which begins and ends at Richards, 359 Greenwich Ave. There’s a welcome and registration at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 5K at 9:30 a.m. Runners and walkers can enjoy a complimentary breakfast at 10 a.m., with the 1-mile kickoff at 10:45, led by Zumba star Eddie Calle. Registration for the 5K is $35 and includes the event T shirt. Registration for the 1-mile is $20; $10 for students and free for children under age 7. (Dogs are welcome, too.)
