A Bahamas trip via the bath

Travel to a Bahamas resort from the luxury of your home.

Caerula Mar Club is a boutique luxury resort on sleepy South Andros, one of The Bahamas’ largest islands in size – yet the smallest in population with slightly more than 2,000 residents. The property is helmed by HGTV celebrity design duo Bryan and Sarah Baeumler, with the show “Renovation Island” detailing how the couple recently transformed the 10-acre beach resort into one of the area’s chicest new properties. Sarah just launched a new website, sarahbaeumler.com, where wanderlusters who want to transform their homes into a tropically-inspired escape can purchase a wide array of designer furnishings and gorgeous accent pieces found at the resort. These include luxurious Turkish linens, bathrobes and eco-friendly bath products designed exclusively for Caerula Mar Club in partnership with LoveFresh cosmetics. To experience the resort firsthand – without the jet lag – try the Sarah Baeumler x Lovefresh bath and body products. The avocado lotion ($22 for 8 ounces) has a rich, nongreasy formula that will leave your skin feeling hydrated, while the yummy grapefruit-vanilla scent will cocoon you in class and refresh all of your senses.

How did it all come about? The couple discovered an abandoned hotel on vacation and moved their family of six to the island to transform it. The property’s six private villas and 18 suites are steps from the shoreline, with an airy design accented by white and neutral tones, lofty ceilings and touches like ocean-facing reading nooks and hanging prints of vintage black-and-white portraits of island locals. The property’s minimalistic design lets nature be the star of the show, and the best performance happens when the stars come out at night. On this postcard-perfect spot, you can relax by the pool or under the shade of palm trees, take a walk on powder-white sands where you won’t spot a single footprint, explore the island on complimentary bicycles or spend a day out on the turquoise water snorkeling in Andros’ famous reefs. It’s all good.
