Bumping elbows, metaphorically

In these days of social distance, handshakes are out and bumping elbows have been in.

In these days of social distance, handshakes are out and bumping elbows have been in. But that hardly sounds like social distancing, which basically means no close contact with anyone except the family members in your own home.

So what if you encounter someone when you are out on your solitary walk and still want to be sociable? A smile, a wave or a nod should do it as you go on your merry way.
