Happy Holidays from Neiman’s

Neiman Marcus’ “The Christmas Book 2020” seems to be filled with more creature comforts this year, perhaps reflecting the coronavirus reality.

Neiman Marcus’ “The Christmas Book 2020” is out, just in time to offer a little escape from what has been a challenging year at best. Once again Neiman’s has rounded up the usual luxurious suspects. There a ruby and diamond suite from Bayco that includes a $185,000 teardrop pendant necklace, a $185,000 bracelet and $232,000 clip earrings; an Aerin game table with backgammon and checkers ($4,500); the Passifolia dish collection by Hermès with a tropical motif by artist Nathalie Roland-Huckel (and pieces ranging from $130 to $360); a Keith and James Western hat ($700) and a blue-eyed “Majestic Lion” sculpture ($9,500).

Perhaps it’s just us, but many of the gifts seem to have a homey, snuggy quality this year, in answer to the coronavirus. This is particularly notable when it comes to “The 2020 Fantasy Gifts,” supporting The Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation and, in turn, the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. The goodies include a chance to design your own game parlor with Jonathan Adler  ($145,000): a custom travel library made with luxe publisher Assouline ($295,000); “A Year of Wellness With Canyon Ranch” ($345,000) and a Bowlus bespoke luxury RV ($255,000).

It’s all designed to keep you sumptuously at home for the holidays – or safely home away from home.
